My neck started hurting in the weeks leading up to finals. It was distracting me and made focusing difficult, so I looked around and went with this lift. It looks a bit wonky but definitely helps me focus.
I was worried that it wouldn't fit at our desks, but it wasn't an issue when I paired it with a compact keyboard. Together, the stand + keyboard definitely takes up more space than just the laptop, but it was manageable.
Overall I would recommend this product
When I go into the office I have a monitor and a stand for the laptop, and I was looking into something similar at home because I have limited table space and didn't want to buy a second monitor, and my laptop felt unused.
I chose this stand because although a bit pricier than some alternatives, it was much lighter and folds up much smaller. I didn't expect to be moving it around too much, but I wanted to have the option. It's already been very helpful for displaying the recipe while I'm "working" in the kitchen!
I was worried that it wouldn't be stable, but the rubber grips do a great job holding the laptop. However, I wish it had rubber along the bottom as well; the stand slides easily, and I accidentally knocked it over once. Thankfully the laptop was OK, but my laptop has rubber legs, why doesn't this stand??

This has been great for me, I'm on the taller side and used to hate working from cowerking spaces because they often don't provide any monitors to use (which I get, but still inconvenient). This little stand is really clever, easily packs into my backpack and makes me feel like I can work from anywhere.
Main downside is that I needed to buy an external keyboard and mouse because as noted in the product description this stand is NOT comfortable for the wrists if you're trying to use the laptop keyboard itself.
I got this one for $30 and it's comfortable, but the entire package takes up more space in the backpack. Not a LOT more, but the keyboard definitely takes up more space than the lift!
