I’m Andrew Apollonsky, the mind and heart behind Volgia, where we specialize in tech for working outdoors and while traveling. My journey to founding Volgia started in my early career as a software engineer. Like many in my field, I faced long hours in front of computer screens, leading to chronic wrist and back pain by my mid-20s.

It was a wake-up call for me – I knew I needed a change to lead a happy, fulfilling life.

I became more mindful of my discomfort and the habits contributing to it. This led me to embrace the great outdoors, travel, and photography. Being closer to nature and exploring the world helped me stay grounded and full of energy. Then, as remote work became the new normal with the onset of Covid, I found myself with the freedom to work and travel simultaneously. Over the years, I've experimented with various setups to stay productive outside the traditional office space, while seeing the world.
